Classes at Dance Strides Barbados

Descriptions

Dance Strides Barbados offers classes in Preparatory and Acro Modern, Boys’ Technique, Modern, Modern Jazz, Afro/Caribbean, Ballet, Jazzercise and Jazz.  The Primus Technique and Foundation Training are taught in the Modern and Modern Jazz classes.

The Primus Technique was developed by the late Dr. Pearl E. Primus and is being carried on and developed by M. Sheron Trotman.  It is taught in the teen and adult classes, along with Foundation Training- a group of exercises with a layering principle to decompress the spine, open the chest and develop a strong core.

Ms. Trotman (a certified level 1 Foundation Training instructor) also offers personalized day-time Foundation Training rehabilitation sessions and private dance classes. For more information on private/personalized sessions, please contact the studio.
